Welcome to our website which gives you a brief insight into our fantastic 11-18 comprehensive school which is at the heart of the market town of Stokesley.
Stokesley School enjoys a strong reputation within the local community and beyond. Our students are well known for achieving high academic outcomes but this is not the full story: it is equally important to us to develop them as responsible and sensitive young adults, fostering within them core values of integrity, empathy, diligence, discipline and perseverance. Our rules at school are simple: we want our students to be ready, respectful and ambitious, and these are underpinned by the school’s motto of ‘being the best we can be’ which embodies our belief that any child can achieve regardless of their background or personal circumstances.
As part of the Areté Learning Trust, we are an outward facing school: we work closely with our main partner, Richmond School, and also collaborate with other local schools on a range of projects. This enables us to be highly reflective as a staff and constantly seek new opportunities to promote success for the young people in our care.
I hope the website provides you with some useful information, but please remember we are always happy to provide additional material or welcome visitors to the school. If you are an existing parent, you can find more detailed data through the parent portal My Child At School or by contacting your child’s Form Tutor in the first instance; if you are a prospective parent, please get in touch with us on the main school number and we will be delighted to show off our school!
