Students are active in their learning at Stokesley School. As well as developing subject knowledge, understanding and skills, they develop as learners through a wide variety of experiences.
Students work in teams, carry out research, present to their class, carry out experiments and investigate a wide variety of issues during educational visits. Reflection is a key part of learning and students are encouraged to take responsibility by identifying areas of strength and action points as part of an ongoing dialogue with their teachers in order to secure further progress. Students leave Stokesley School well prepared for whatever the future may bring! Professional development is very important to teachers at Stokesley – we model learning for our students by focusing on developing our skills and expertise.
