I retired from work in late 2017. Previously I had worked within children and young people services for over 37 years, initially as a teacher in Birmingham and Shropshire, followed by many years in education management looking after services such as adult education, youth services, music, swimming, governor support and property.
In the last 10 years of my career I moved to leading on integrated early help services for children and young people within Stockton and then North Yorkshire. I am a keen long distance runner and a season ticket holder for a local football team that plays at the Riverside.
