Fashioning fabulous Easter hats in the Open Learning Centre

07 February 2020  |  Darren Smith

Our technology-free day, ‘Tech free Tuesday’, continues to thrive with students this term participating in a variety of Easter and spring crafts and activities.

Twenty-four students, from all year groups, participated enthusiastically in the Easter Hat competition and fashioned some interesting and magnificent Easter bonnets and top hats from scratch. Judged by Rachel Roberts, Open Learning Centre Manager, at the close of lunch, prizes and certificates were issued to the winners. First prize went to Charlie King (Y8), with Jennifer Dodd (Y8) and Taylor Armes (Y9) sharing 2nd place. Furthermore, students crafted some lovely Easter cards and constructed daffodil windmills in preparation for the hot summer!
