Anti-Bullying
At Stokesley School we foster a community where everyone feels safe and can enjoy being at school. We recognise that bullying happens and it must be taken seriously. Bullying can affect everyone - pupils, parents and teachers, so we are determined to work together to combat bullies and bullying. This policy is designed to support us in our aims.
ANTI-BULLYING AMBASSADORS
During the early part of 2020 a group of our Year 8 students trained to be Anti-Bullying ambassadors. This was facilitated through the Diana Award, one of the first tasks the trained ambassadors completed was to re-write the Stokesley School Anti-Bullying Policy. The policy and the letter that the students wrote to Parent/Carers is available here to read in full:
THE STOKESLEY PLEDGE
Students and staff in our school have worked together over recent months to write the wording for this pledge, based initially on the pledge from the 'Everyone's Invited website'. The pledge acknowledges our commitment, as a school community, to be kind to one another both on and offline. Both staff and students have signed the pledge.
