The Wellbeing Journal
According to the World Health Organisation mental health is ‘a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.’
We have compiled a downloadable ‘Wellbeing Journal and Mindfulness Activities’ booklet. We feel that, while it is important for students to continue with their learning at home, it is equally important that they take care of their mental health and wellbeing.
This booklet focuses on several key aspects of wellbeing, including: self-esteem, resilience, anxiety and mindfulness. It references published books and strategies that have proven successful.
As family is important, we have compiled a ‘challenges’ section, that can be fun for everyone to get involved in. We will be running competitions for photographed entries sent to wellbeing@stokesleyschool.org.
Finally, there is a section dedicated to self-help applications that can be used on mobile and tablet devices.
Thank you.
