What is Office 365 Pro Plus?
Office 365 Pro Plus is a full version of Microsoft Office which can be easily downloaded and installed by students via the Office 365 portal. It includes all your favourite Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint at no cost, while the student is actively enrolled at Stokesley School.
This is made available to the students through the school’s campus agreement which is setup with Microsoft via the Student Advantage program. Students can install the latest Office suite on up to 5 personal devices including PC’s, Macs, IOS and Android with varying levels of functionality.

How do I download and install the software for Desktops?
1. Open your browser and navigate to: https://login.microsoftonline.com
2. Enter your school username followed by @stokesley.n-yorks.sch.uk
For example: firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Enter you school login password
4. Press Sign in
5. Press Install choose to either save the file or run. You may be prompted for your administrator password to install the software on your personal machine. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your installation.
6. You will be shown a quick intro movie as well as being able to sign in with the same email address used in step 2. Once complete, you will be able to use all the Office applications via the usual method (Start Menu, Finder Applications on OSX).

Is Office 365 Pro Plus a fully functioning version? Can I use it offline?
Office 365 is a fully functioning suite of applications as you would normally find on any school machine. The office suite also keeps itself updated seamlessly so the student can just work as normal. You can use the application while you are offline as it resides on your machine. However you will must log back into https://login.microsoftonline.com every 30 days to keep your subscription active, a small inconvenience for free software.
How do I manage which devices I have Office installed on?
Login to https://login.microsoftonline.com with same username and password used in step 2. Go to the top right of the screen and click the gear icon and select Office 365 Settings.
Click on Software on the left hand column.
On the next screen, make sure that Office is selected from the left hand side menu. You should see the following which will display which devices you have Office 365 Pro Plus installed on.
You have the ability to deactivate any installations as well as seeing how many remaining installs are available. If you reach the maximum of 5 but need to install on another machine, please deactivate an existing installation.

Can I install this software on an older version of Windows?
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) supports only the 32-bit edition of Office 2010.
Windows XP 64-bit does not support any edition of Office 2010.
Microsoft Office ProPlus 2013 is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10
Windows Vista is not compatible with the latest version of Microsoft Office. However, you can still download Microsoft Office ProPlus 2010 for free. Beneath the section titled “Install the latest version of Office”, you will see an area titled “Not ready to install the latest version of Office?”. There you will find a link to download and install Office ProPlus 2010 which is compatible with Windows Vista.

What happens when I leave Stokesley School?
When you leave Stokesley School, you will no longer have access to the Office 365 Pro Plus applications in their full running state. You will be prompted to purchase the full version or uninstall.
