Careers
We are exceptionally proud of our careers provision in school. We provide individual careers advice to help our students apply for a university or higher apprenticeship course that is right for them, and to make informed choices about their future career.
We believe that high quality careers guidance is essential to our students in helping them choose the most appropriate career pathway for them beyond the sixth form. All students have access to our qualified careers advisor within the college. In addition, regular updates in dedicated careers google classrooms notify our students about any upcoming university open days and experience days across a wide range of work environments. Year 12 work experience week in July is designed to give students further experiences of the workplace.
Students are supported throughout their time at Stokesley Sixth Form by experienced sixth form tutors. We also provide numerous opportunities for students to attend workshops and presentations to give them further information about higher education options as well as the UCAS application process, interview techniques, applying to Oxbridge and student finances. We also have a very successful programme designed to support students wishing to study medicine, veterinary science or dentistry, with a very high success rate in students gaining places on these very competitive courses.
