Our students enjoy participating in a variety of extra-curricular activities that we have on offer. At Stokesley Sixth Form we are passionate about developing well-rounded individuals who achieve well academically, but are also confident within a range of different situations as well as being socially responsible.
We have a variety of extracurricular activities on offer which include football, netball and five a side teams.
Students also benefit from free membership to Stokesley Leisure Centre which is adjacent to the Sixth Form Centre. Here, students have access to the gym, swimming pool and squash courts.
The Environmental Group have made us all very aware that we have a responsibility to help the environment. We are now disposing of our rubbish in a more environmentally friendly way in sixth form by using the appropriate bins the group have provided for us so that much more of our waste will now be recycled.
The Debating Club is run by sixth formers for younger students to help them think about, and discuss, different points of view on a range of current issues. We also have a thriving orchestra; musicians are very welcome to join the school orchestra or, indeed, any ensemble in the music department.
School service is also a significant opportunity for our students, and what makes being a school sixth form such an advantage. Students volunteer in classrooms, in the library and more, helping our younger students to be the best they can be.
On top of opportunities offered in school, we also track our students’ extra-curricular activities outside of school. Without a doubt, every Stokesley Sixth Former is an active member of their community!
