Stokesley School Sixth Form Celebrates A-Level Results
13 February 2020 | Darren Smith
It was a pleasure to see our sixth form students collecting their fantastic results in the sixth form centre today. Overall, our school is proud to be celebrating 56.3% of students gaining grades A*-B across all of their subjects which, once again, places us way above the national average. 99.6% of all our students passed their A-Levels with grades A*-E. We also carried on our strong academic tradition with 29% of our students achieving at least AAB in two or more facilitating subjects (those subjects required by the most prestigious universities).
In terms of individual successes, Matthew Calvert was our top achiever with 4 A* grades and will go on to study Mechanical Engineering at Manchester University but Ewan Atkinson and Grace McConnell were not far behind with 3 A*s each and will soon be in Nottingham and Durham studying medicine and English Literature respectively. Four more students achieved 2 A*s and an A; three achieved 2 As and an A*; one achieved 2 A*s and a B; and seven other students, including our Head Boy and Girl Joseph Denny and Olivia Dell-Price, achieved 3 straight As.
We are very proud of all our students’ achievements and wish them well in the next stage of their lives.
